The
Medical
Equipment Library
 The
Medical Equipment Library loans a variety of medical devices to the majority
of clinical areas within SUHT for use in patient care/treatment.
The aim of the library is to maximise the usage of equipment held,
helping to ensure its availability and fitness for use. The equipment
undergoes basic visual and functional inspection on return to the Library
plus planed preventative maintenance. Training in the equipment supplied can
also be arranged for the User. An advisory service is provided for a variety
of purposes including on the spot trouble-shooting, selection of equipment,
standardisation of equipment, level of service required including amount of
equipment for new services/projects.
The
table below shows the total number of loans made each calendar year for each
type of medical equipment.
